Hi, I am Roderik van der Meulen. Based in the Netherlands, I am a photographer driven by an appreciation for natural beaty and authentic human expression.

My work is deeply rooted in nature, from the quiet atmosphere of dense forests and dramatic seascapes to the big vistas. I strive to capture these landscapes in a way that feels grounding and real. Parallel to this, I enjoy photographing people, focusing on spontaneous, natural interactions in both timeless black-and-white and rich color. On the streets, I look for those brief, unposed moments that reveal the personality and rhythm of everyday life.

I am a Fujifilm user and I rely on the system’s amazing color rendition to translate what I see into compelling photographs. Photography for me is about noticing the quiet details, and turning ordinary moments into lasting visual stories.

I named this website Lumendix to capture the essence of what I do: documenting the world through light (lumen).
